The portal to 1945 just opened. V & T's has been a family run old school red sauce joint that opened in 1945 and moved to this location in 1951. I used to frequent this place decades ago when I was a college student in the area, so it was with some heavy duty nostalgic expectations and trepidation that I met a friend for lunch there. And it was still the welcoming homey setting with Nonna type food smells, old style wood chairs, dark maroon walls, red and white checkered table clothes and a great waiter who has been working there since 1980! Out comes a loaf of warm delectable bread, then we both had the lunch chicken parm & salad. The Chicken parm was pure perfection, with the right amount of breading, perfect sauce and fabulous quality cheese. The portions were large, the quality even larger and the price points, excellent. Thomas Wolfe, you were wrong dude, sometimes you can go home again.
I recently purchased 5 pizzas for a school that caters to children with disabilities. I was looking for Alex but he wasn't there but I met Anthony who gave me a good price on the pizzas. Everyone at the school loved the pizzas. Thanks Anthony and Alex, your pizzas brought joy to many children who are living with disabilities. I will return next fall for the next school year. The pizza is always cooked to order, the toppings are fresh and plentiful. I usually call for a take out order - a large pepperoni pie. The crust is soft, the marinara sauce is delicious and they have a variety of toppings. The customer service on the phone is very professional. The ambiance can't be beat. I would recommend V & T - I think they have the Best pizza in town. The hot wings are good too.
One of the best restaurants to eat food at. I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little kid and it is still one of the best places to enjoy an experience in Italian cuisine. Make sure you take your whole family there to experience this place.
We shared the Fried Calamari appetizer they had the Eggplant Rollatini and salad. I had the Veal Parmigiana and the girl had Shrimp Francaise and the boy had the Linguine & White Clam sauce.
I wanna come back!!!!! I leave in Brooklyn and a goof friend of mines was like yo let me take you get some pizza. I'm like sure no problem!!! He didn't disappoint at all for me and neither did V& T. We got a small pie cuz I was driving but we had to wait cuz I had enjoy my half of the Pepperoni oie.the Pepperoni are freaking good asf no lie SUPER FRESH & crunchy bursting with flavors the mozzarella on the pie with the sauce aka ROBUST!!!! Added a few chili flakes BAM!!!! I definitely want to go sit in and enjoy, which my friend said he will love too and next time I'm going on Ok!!!
